(28Dec2020) VIRSIG has been granted status as a certified Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) by the County of Nassau, New York, after it had been determined it met eligibility requirements pursuant to the MWBE Rules governing Local Law Number 14-2002-Title 53.
Nassau County Certification affords VIRSIG the opportunity to be listed in a Countywide Government Directory of Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises used by County Agencies and Contractors. Because the County Government has been mandated by the Nassau County Executive and the Legislature to provide greater opportunity for participation by Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) in County contracting, certification gives business owners an advantage when marketing goods and/or services to County Agencies and Authorities.
The certification can be renewed in December 2023.
