VIRSIG Has Been Certified as a MBE / SDVOB by the Port Authority of NY&NJ
For Immediate Release
(14OCT2020) VIRSIG, LLC., announced today it has received official certification from the Port Authority of NY & New Jersey in three categories: 1) As a recognized Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business; 2) As a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise; and 3) As a Small Business Enterprise. With these certifications, VIRSIG can now participate in the agency’s SDVOB, MBE and SBE procurement programs for Technology Services, and the company is now included in the Port Authority’s on-line directory of certified businesses. Brian J. Valenza, VIRSIG’s CEO and primary owner, is of Cherokee tribe American Indian heritage, and is also a service-disabled U.S. Navy veteran. Business owners who are either minorities and/or military veterans (with a service-related disability), may qualify for these certifications, as both of these demographic groups have been historically underutilized in government contracting. Further, VIRSIG is currently awaiting and expecting to receive their Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) certification from both the State of New York and the City of New York in coming weeks.
VIRSIG, a federal and State of NY certified SDVOB, is a national technology company focused on secure networks, video surveillance, detection, and access control solutions. VIRSIG protects people, places and data by identifying then addressing cybersecurity, infrastructure, perimeter, and site vulnerabilities. The company is professionally licensed in states such as NY and NJ, and operates across the United States.
