VIRSIG Announces Minority American Indian Ownership Status

VIRSIG, LLC., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has announced its Minority-Owned (American Indian) status. This was done in accordance with the self-representation guidelines of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA 8a), and the status has been registered with the GSA’s System for Award Management (SAM).

The SBA Business Development Program is for small disadvantaged businesses that have historically been underutilized by government contracting. Minority status such as this promotes full and equal procurement opportunities for small, minority-and women-owned businesses.

In addition to federal minority status, VIRSIG has also successfully completed and submitted their application for the City of New York Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) certification program, and is currently preparing their application for certified minority status with the State of New York Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development.

Brian J. Valenza, VIRSIG’s CEO and primary owner, is of Cherokee tribe American Indian heritage, and is also a service-disabled U.S. Navy veteran.

VIRSIG, a national technology company focused on secure networks within the surveillance, detection, and access control arenas. We protect people, places and data by identifying then addressing cybersecurity, infrastructure and perimeter vulnerabilities.
