VIRSIG Selected As Silver Award Winner For 'Best New Tech Startup' of the Year

The 13th Annual American Business Awards announced winners at its gala event focused on outstanding new products and technology—industry categories, including technology organization management. Recognized as a Silver Award (Second Place) winner was Virsig, LLC., for Best New Tech Startup of the year.

Founded in New York City, Virsig (a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business), is a network-centric technology company that specializes in engineering and monitoring information transport systems, with a focus on electronic security. The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program, and issuer of the Stevie® Award, described as being the Oscar® of the business community.

More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Best New Tech Startup, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, etc. Firms nominated for an American Business Award are judged based on a variety of factors including innovation, integrity, effectiveness, creativity and growth.

Out of the original pool of corporate nominees, Virsig was chosen as one of 12 finalists, and subsequently named a Silver Award winner (Second Place). Being a winner is a significant achievement worthy of national recognition, it means independent judges agreed, Virsig stood out among others. “Virsig is a young company with a promising future. Its IP network driven and security solutions with the background of its founders will change the security landscape” said American Business Award judges. They lauded that Virsig was "A really impressive new start up” and that it had “Outstanding growth supported by direction and details.”

American Business Award winners are selected by more than 240 executives nationwide who participate in the judging process. All US based corporations are eligible to be nominated – public and private, large and small, non-profit and for-profit.
