VIRSIG Selected as Finalist for 'Best New Tech Startup of the Year'


Virsig LLC. has been selected as a Finalist by the American Business Awards for the Best New Tech Startup of the Year Award. Founded in New York City, Virsig (a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business), is a network-centric technology company that places a substantial focus on building and monitoring information transport systems, with a focus on physical security. The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program, and issuer of the Stevie® Award, described as being the Oscar of the business community.

More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Tech Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, etc. Firms nominated for an American Business Award are judged based on a variety of factors including innovation, integrity, effectiveness, creativity and growth.

Being a Finalist is a significant achievement worthy of national recognition, it means independent judges agreed Virsig be recognized as a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie® Award winner. “It’s an honor to be choosen as a Finalist for an American Business Award and be considered as one of the Best New Tech Startups in the country,” said Glenn Taylor, Executive Director of Virsig. “The entire Virsig team put in tremendous amount of work in 2014, and it’s great to be recognized. This Award belongs to the team, including Brian Valenza, Christian Cahill, Eric L’Esperance and Adam Roth.”

American Business Award winners are selected by more than 240 executives nationwide who participate in the judging process. All US based corporations are eligible to be nominated – public and private, large and small, non-profit and for-profit. Winners will be announced during the annual gala September 11, 2015 at the Merchants Exchange Building in San Francisco where more than 600 executives from across the US are expected to be in attendance.

This year’s American Business Awards sponsors include John Hancock Mutual Funds, Citrix, SoftPro and CallidusCloud. Among last year’s top award winners, were Advanced Micro Devices, USANA Health Sciences, AT&T, and Accenture.​
