Steven V. McCory
Sr. Project Manager
Steven V. McCory is a Senior Project Manager. Concurrently, he is training to be a VIRSIG Operations Manager. Steven has years of experience as a Project Manager in the high-end retail security sector for several national companies. He has worked his way up in the industry, holding various positions such as Project Manager, Service Coordinator and working with structured cable plants.
Since a young age, Steven has had an interest in public safety and security. Licensed by the State of New York, he has worked in the physical security sector, including as a Security Training Officer for a municipal School District where he worked in tandem with law enforcement (retired NYPD, FBI and U.S. Postal Police officers) on security management, training and oversight.
Steven is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom; there, he provided fire support with a Field Artillery team, as an Automated Tactical Data System Specialist, while attached to the 82nd Airborne Division.
He holds numerous professional certifications in project management and other security industry topics. He’s earned a B.S. in Law Enforcement Technology from SUNY Farmingdale and an A.S. in Criminal Justice from Suffolk County Community College. He is currently exploring a Master’s degree in Security & Emergency Management.
Steven is newly married and resides with his wife Carla and two Children, David & Hailey in Huntington, Long Island.
