Jason C. Heckathorn

Director, Federal Enterprise Solutions

Jason is the Director of Federal Enterprise Solutions for VIRSIG; he manages VIRSIG’s US Intelligence and DoD efforts in the United States. Jason has 20 years of experience in international business and federal sales. For the last decade he has focused on the security industry and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the fields of electronic surveillance, VMS systems, biometric access control, LPR and facial recognition software.


Jason holds a technical certification in Genetec Security Center and is a current Board of Advisors member and part owner of I3, LLC. In his career he has represented international electronic manufacturers with 7 years’ experience as Vice President; he has also been a featured speaker at international shows on emerging technology. Jason has worked on several high-profile projects including providing mission support on sensitive DoD projects, and LPR/Access Control consulting for Airport and city projects including the Oakland Airport and the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. He has provided solutions for Sikorsky Helicopters, the US Navy, and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.


Originally from Maryland, he attended Brigham Young University, speaks German fluently, and is a member of the BYU Management Society as well as The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA). Jason contributes to supporting O.U.R., operation underground railroad, an organization that saves children from sexual slavery through direct intervention. He studies military history and enjoys firearms training. Jason operates out of the Salt Lake City region where he resides with his wife and six children.
